I always wanted a tank transporter, finally got one.The finished kit is impressive, a 40-ton Churchill tank mounted on it looks small in comparison.But there were assembly issues, especially with the rear axle. Several parts which should have been bored out were not and had to be modified by hand, which is greatly annoying. Not a kit for beginners.

Eine sehr schöne Erinnerung an Jugendzeiten, als der Modellbau für mich begann.Sehr überrascht bin ich nach all den Jahren, wie genau die Teile passen, ein schöner und angenehmer Bausatz.Die drei beigefügten Soldaten zu Fuß sind bedauerlicherweise nicht maßstabsgerecht, dafür aber die Insassen des Kübelwagens umso mehr.Ich gebe eine eindeutige Kaufempfehlung.

Der Bausatz ist aus den 1960er Jahren und somit nur für absolute Classic Fans. Die Passgenauigkeit der Bauteile ist ungenau, die Bauanleitung sehr schlecht. Mit viel Nacharbeit und entsprechendem Zeitaufwand lässt sich ein ansehnliches Modell bauen.

Back in the day, I never ended up building this one. Probably as Airfix & Matchbox had such a huge array of 1/76 military kits & this particular subject appeared uninteresting to a wee young lad.Enter nostalgia, some 50 years later, & I can honestly say I'm glad I didn't buy it back then in the '70's.It's a nice little model, but the kit really shows it's age (from 1961?) & even though Airfix market these as "classics", it's daylight robbery to be charging anything over $10 for such stuff.The instructions are downright pathetic & you've got to guess the location of multiple parts. I'm not one of the spoon-fed generation & so I'm used to using me noggin', but the retro instructions (probably the same ones from way-back-when) are next to useless. If this issue had been fixed, I'd have given the kit 3 stars (maybe), but only because its rare for another manufacturer to make this subject.If you can pick it up for less than $15 AUD, go for it - but realize it'll be a pig to build (oink!)
