I bought two others previously & they works great & held up to the strong wind. However, the paper bits hanging from the bottom did not survive. I replace them with a little ball so that they can still swing about. But on the whole, the little chimes held up to extremely strong wind.

I read online that wind chimes can deter carpenter bees. Not sure yet if that's true, but I bought this to test it out. The sound is great, and the windcatch works very well, so I get to hear the chime a lot. It came with two windcatches, for when the first inevitably disintegrates. I actually chose to laminate the windcatch before attaching it, or you could apply a long strip of clear packaging tape to help waterproof the paper and extend its lifespan.Honestly I'm interested in getting another. Maybe that one shaped like a koi fish.
