Die HOUSON Kettenführung ist mit TOOPRE gelabelt und sauber verarbeitet. Sie passt an jedes Rad, das außenliegende Lagerschalen hat, wie es heutzutage üblich ist, und über ein einzelnes Kettenblatt mit mindesten 30 und maximal 40 Zähnen verfügt.Zum Einbau muss die rechte Lagerschale ausgebaut und der Spacer ggf. entnommen werden. Eine Einbauanleitung ist leider nicht dabei. Mit den mitgelieferten Distanzscheiben kann die obere Führung an die Kettenlinie angepasst werden. Für den Fall, dass die Schraube dann zu kurz ist, liegt eine längere Schraube bei.Der Preis von knapp 10 Euro geht dafür voll in Ordnung.

In an ideal setup, this would be unnecessary, however in many a hybrid setup the chain does tend to come off, devices like this are sold in order to stop that. However, having tried several, I can vouch that none of them are entirely satisfactory. Those that attach to the seat tube in various ways usually become loose in use and wander into the chain, making a noise. So seeing this alternative I thought that this would be a much more secure method of mounting, and it is, but only if you have the right kind of BB with the external attachment, if you do not, it will not fit, and finally, the chain wheel has to be removed in order to fit it, so quite a big job for most.
