This is a split review as the ball is very durable but the rope not so much. Ok so our 5 month old dumped dog, Conan the Destroyer, is a really aggressive chewer so I didn't expect it to last too long. The rope was detached from the ball in just a few days but the ball is still in great shape. Would have given it 3.5 stars if I could have. To be fair, the ropes on his other toys didn't survive either although they did last a few days longer.

My 1 year old pit loves tug of war, keep away, and fetch and this tug ball covers all three. The rope helps me throw it pretty far, the ball helps it really fly and has a nice bounce, and she loves being able to grab it by the rope and run around with it. The rope is a pretty thick braided material with kind of a silky finish; I can tell by the texture that it's something she could probably chew through if she really put her mind to it (she's chewed through harnesses, leashes, other tug ropes, the handles of jute tug.....) so I'm not going to leave her alone with it and save it for when I can supervise to stretch out its longevity. But it's a great toy that checks all of our boxes and made a puppy very happy.

Perfect size for 50lb Goldendoodle. Primarily used in the ocean. 2nd purchase but only because we left the 1st one at the shore last year. Nonstop fun in the water!
