We also have the Detour dinnerware set and this kettle cook set provides another set of cups/mugs along with a kettle. The stainless steel bottoms are great because they are going to hold up well. These are also collapsible, so they take up a lot less room in our camping tote. We don't plan on using these for hiking, but they work well for stationary camping.

It states it is dishwasher safe but spots are left all over the silicone. Even washing by hand after doesn’t remove the spots. The biggest problem I had was separating the cups the nested together inside the teapot. I worked at separating the cups for 3 days. I finally got them separated but sliced 1 cup so badly it was ruined.

I really like this set. If you're looking to have all your camping gear fit in just a corner of your car's trunk, this set is for you. The only issues I had were with the cups. They're so hot initially that you can't hold them. However, the reason they're so hot means that they cool quickly. So, you can pick them up soon. But then you can't sip drinks because they'll be cold soon. Also, don't burn your little finger by letting it touch the steel bottom like I did. You'll only do it once. I liked drinking out of the cups, though. Maybe if the silicone was a little thicker or better insulated in some way.Pros:- very compact when packed- kettle works great: easy to use, clean, fill, pour- cups are compact and steel base and ring gives them structureCons:- cups cannot be held when hot (at all). You'll need gloves.

I've been happy with Sea to Summit camping pads, so decided to try this cook set. While we will mostly use it in our campervan, this also goes on overnight campouts as well. The little pot is deep enough to make it versitile. The mugs and the pot collapse down for easy storage and are lightweight enough to carry for an overnight. The opening is wide enough for checking your cook and for cleaning.The only concern I have it how quickly the silicone will fail from folding/unfolding. The silicone is fairly thick and thicker than many of the collapsable cups, so I have hopes for long term use.
