Since having a baby, i need Spanx in my life and have purchased many of their items over up the years. This waist clincher was new to me though and I wasn’t sure whether I’d like it or not. It’s more comfortable than it looks, but I would say you only want to wear it for a few hours, I certainly couldn’t wear it all day! Also, due to the design, it’s not great under tight fitting clothes as you see the ‘spines’ through it. As for sizing, definitely go up a size. I was pleasantly surprised when I seen the price, which at the time if writing is just under £50. I find Spanx products last and I’m sure this one will too. Overall great product.

Since I had a hard time finding reviews online for this product...The quality is excellent. Thick, beautiful blush pink fabric and well-placed boning. Snaps and zip make it very easy to put on. I'm usually a US size 4 so I got a size S based on the brand's suggested sizing. My natural waist is 26.5in, and it gave me a reduction to about 26in... which isn't much. And this is on the tightest hook. On me, the silhouette it creates is a little more straight/conical than a 'snatched' hourglass waist. The boning also adds a bit of bulk to my front. My torso is maybe on the shorter side so it also gives me a nice bust lifting effect.But it works for my purposes since I wanted a more rigid corset mostly to help with my posture while sitting for long hours. This totally does the job and stops me from hunching over while being comfy enough to wear for an extended period.It doesn't make too much of a difference for me under my clothing but I'm also a thin person who doesn't need much trimming/control. It does help me a bit with wearing skirts that are a little small for me around the waist. Under a thin and clingy Reformation dress, it's perceptible if you scrutinize, but I don't find it too bothersome. I'll admit I am tempted to get another one in XS for more cinching under my dresses, though.Edit: Got the XS too - cinches me down to 24.5in or 25in, depending on which row of hooks. Gives an amazing shape under clothes, but definitely not for extended wear.
